MDSX / USC

What does MDSX stand for? Well I like to say “Media. Design. Shows. And eXperiences.” That is what we do but the letters are really the initials of the founders’ family which is sweet and lets you know they are good people. What is MDSX? It’s the studio where I have just begun my tenure as Chief Creative Officer (CCO). I have exited Universal Creative after the insanely successful launch of Epic Universe. Why did I leave? Looking for new mountains to climb. I’m interested in life beyond the berm, so, looking forward to projects outside of theme parks. MDSX is really on the precipice of blowing up. They are an excellent practice and I was impressed with their work on Epic-so much so that I’ve decided to join forces with them. It’s been a week and a half and so far, so awesome. In addition, in an embarrassment of riches, I’ve also joined USC as a professor of themed entertainment. Both of these roles are in effect immediately and I look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of themed entertainment while exploring what’s just outside those boundaries.
